ABSENCE REPORT

SQUADRON ATTENDANCE POLICY

ADMINISTRATIVE REQUIREMENT

Cadets are considered to have left the program if they are absent for more than 30 calendar days without notice (about 4 training nights in a row). In such cases, follow-ups may be made to facilitate retrieval of issued kit, and to process the termination of membership.

TRAINING REQUIREMENT

Every training level has participation requirements. Lower attendance increases the risk of missing these lessons.

A significant part of each training level involves attending 18 periods of instruction in certain specific Performance Objectives (POs). A schedule of lessons being taught each week is available on the 'Weekly Schedule' page, so that cadets can ensure they are catching every required lesson.

The Squadron's 'Calendar' page shows all upcoming activities, so that cadets can plan ahead to attend.

PRACTICAL APPLICATION

Attendance figures, among other criteria, may be used to decide participation on non-mandatory trips and activities, as well as eligibility for promotions and awards.
