MARKSMANSHIP & BIATHLON TEAM

ABOUT THE TEAM

The Biathlon/Marksmanship Team participates in the Canadian Cadet Organization Biathlon and Marksmanship Championship Series.  The championship is a 4 stage series; Squadron (Team Selection), Zone, Provincial/Territorial and National Championships.

TEAM COMPOSITION

Our team will be comprised of a total of 8 cadets.  Team composition will vary between biathlon and marksmanship.  For marksmanship, the team will comprise of 5 competitors plus 3 spares. Two spots on the competition team must be filled by a junior competitor, the remaining positions can be a mix of junior/open competitors.  For biathlon, a team consists of a pairing of two cadets.  (4 teams total)  Pairings can be a combination of junior/senior/youth competitors. 

TEAM SELECTION

Team selection will be based on highest score during try-outs, the cadet's performance and behaviour during regular training, and the needs of the team.  

What we are looking for in a team member

• Cadets with a high standard of dress, drill and deportment 

• Cadets that participates regularly in regular training and is performing well in their level

• Cadets that are willing to learn a new skill and put in the time to practice
